The Girl in the Green Jumper

 

This is the story of how a young Dutch-Indonesian girl met and married artist Cyril Mann, who was nearly 30 years her senior.  Renske started putting Facebook posts about her unusual marriage and I thought it would make an interesting book.  I offered to help her write it, bearing in mind that it would always be in her own words. The book was published in 2022 by Pimpernel Press and became a great success.  The story has now been turned into a stage play, written by Gail Louw, and had its world premiere at The Playground Theatre, London W10, in March 2024.
